Makes sense.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But in reality, it\u2019s incomplete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Equality. Equity. Justice.<br>Clean words. Simple model. Feels right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But organizations don\u2019t run on clean models. They run on messy people, flawed systems, and constant trade-offs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s the reality:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Equality alone doesn\u2019t work.<br>Treating everyone the same ignores differences in capability, experience, and drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Equity helps, but it\u2019s not a solution.<br>Adjusting support is necessary, but if you overdo it, you risk lowering standards and creating inconsistency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Justice sounds like the endgame.<br>\u201cFix the system.\u201d Remove barriers. Build a fair environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes. Do that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But here\u2019s the part no one says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will never eliminate the need for leadership judgment.<br>You will never build a system that doesn\u2019t require intervention.<br>And you will never create a workplace where outcomes are perfectly equal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because people are not equal in output\u2014and never will be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Real leadership looks like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2192 Set equal standards (non-negotiable)<br>\u2192 Apply unequal support (based on reality, not ideology)<br>\u2192 Continuously fix broken systems (so performance scales)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not one of these wins alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you only push equality \u2192 you lose people.<br>If you only push equity \u2192 you lose standards.<br>If you only chase justice \u2192 you ignore daily execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Strong organizations don\u2019t pick a philosophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They operate in the tension between all three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s the real work.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You read this on LinkedIn and think: \u201cNice post.
